    How PayPal fees work

PayPal charges the person receiving a commercial payment a percentage of the payment plus a fixed fee. The percentage depends on how the buyer pays, and the fixed fee depends on the currency you receive.

    • Standard card payments: 2.99% + $0.49
    • Goods and Services payments: 2.99%
    • Pay Later: 4.99% + $0.49
    • QR code payments: 2.29% + $0.09
    • Invoices paid by bank (ACH): 1%, capped at $10

Buyers outside the US add 1.50%. Currency conversion adds a spread of about 3%, and PayPal keeps its fee when you refund a payment.
