Mailchimp alternatives

Congratulations, if you’re reading this chances are that you’re looking for some Mailchimp alternatives and leave them behind in the dust…

Why am I congratulating you though?

Well, because there are many reasons not to choose Mailchimp and there are plenty of competitors who are much better than them that have more features and cheaper prices.

Is this a rant against Mailchimp?

Honestly, it should be… giving the fact that they straight up banned my account a couple of years ago… just because I’m in the “make money online” niche or promoting affiliate products in other categories such as (supplements, spirituality, etc).

Yeah, if you didn’t know, you can’t just freely use Mailchimp as an internet marketer or business that’s remotely considered to be against their rules such as:

Mailchimp acceptable use

Yeah, so uhm… are we even allowed to promote anything then, after all we’re paying for it right?

So even if your email list is legit, with optins that you gathered naturally and legally through your website and funnels, if it’s in any of the categories above, you’re not allowed to use Mailchimp.

Combining that, plus a bunch of other reasons and there’s no wonder why people are looking to join any of the Mailchimp competitors.

Anyway, it turned into a mini-rant after all, my bad… so let’s continue… you’re here for a reason damn it.

Best MailChimp Alternatives

The thing you need to keep in mind with the below list is that:

The services are NOT ranked in order from best to worst… it’s just how I’ve added them to the post, randomly, without giving it a second thought.

In the end what matters the most is that you have a ton of options and Mailchimp alternatives to choose from, and all of the email marketing companies on this list will do a great job.

Alright, so now that’s settled, let’s see the list:

1. AWeber vs Mailchimp

aweber - one of the best Mailchimp alternatives

AWeber has always been a fan favorite, being in the email marketing business for over 20 years, there was a time when this company was considered to be the best by many marketers, because of their autoresponder service.

Well, guess what, I still think they are some of the best even to this.

And no, I’m not just saying that because I’m an affiliate of theirs, if you do a search on IM forums you will find many top tier marketers agreeing with me.

This is because compared to Mailchimp and other email marketing software out there, AWeber’s email templates and landing page creation tool dominates the competition with ease of use and hundreds of templates.

Running Native Ads? Spy on Your Competition & Create Winning Campaigns with Anstrex

Not to mention their high delivery rates.

There are many email marketing tools on this list that don’t even have proper good responsive forms.

Not to mention that AWeber integrates with over 1,000+ digital marketing tools and services such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Salesforce, PayPal, WordPress, etc.

Sure they might not have all the features that other email marketing tools will have, but as an alternative to Mailchimp, AWeber does things right, and you can run affiliate offers and build an actual business with ease.

convertkit - good mailchimp alternative for creators

ConvertKit is probably one of the most popular email marketing services these days. Pretty much every blogger and marketer out there has only good words to say about ConvertKit.

I haven’t tried them fully yet, because I was off-put by the fact that I had to contact their sales department before I could import my email list, so I skipped the service altogether.

Running Native Ads? Spy on Your Competition & Create Winning Campaigns with Anstrex

I kinda understand why they would do that, but I honestly couldn’t be bothered at that time with that…

benchmark

Benchmark is not that well known to most, and I don’t know why they’re not included in more email marketing services lists like this one, but they are a great alternative to Mailchimp, especially if you’re an agency.

Their best feature might actually be the multilingual support which is awesome if you run a company in multiple countries and your teams need access to great support.

Another thing you’ll notice about Benchmark is their design is sublime, everything from their website to email templates and their builder looks stylish as heck.

You see where other companies would charge you money each month to use their service, SendFox only asks for a single one-time payment of $49 for 5,000 contacts, and you can send them unlimited emails per month.

What happens if you go over the 5k subscribers’ mark? You pay $49 again to get 5,000 extra subscriber space. Neat huh?

automizy

Automizy while being relatively new, is another competitor of Mailchimp designed with the sole goal of increasing email open rates.

They offer similar features to most services on this list, however, what I like most about Automizy is their automation workflow and the fact that you can test your subject lines in real-time.

Should you switch from Mailchimp?

If you don’t want to be limited from doing proper online marketing, yes, yes you should.

Other great reasons to switch from Mailchimp:

  • High costs when scaling up
  • Poor interface design
  • Not that many features or innovation
  • Creating sub-segments is complicated
  • They sometimes block valid email optins
  • Automation workflow is not impressive

But hey, those aren’t just my words, there’s hundreds and thousands of unsatisfied Mailchimp customers, take a look at their Trustpilot score:

mailchimp alternatives

1.6 out 5 stars, yikes… so yeah, if you value your email list and want to actually do marketing the right way, weather it’s for affiliate products, work from home stuff, spirituality or any other type of legit business, then switch away from Mailchimp.

Just because you have a list in the work from home or make money online niche, doesn’t automatically means that you have a spam trashy list and promote affiliate marketing scams.

How to pick the best Mailchimp alternatives

Just go with your budget first and then try to find the best email marketing services that have the most amount of features for that money.

Basically, it’s all about getting enough value for your money, and you want to make sure that you can use your email software for a while and don’t switch them out regularly, as it will increase your costs and time spent on learning a new platform.

There’s no one company that’s best for everyone, it simply depends on what type of business you’re in, how big it is, how huge your list is, your email sending volume, and what kind of features you need.

If you’re looking for basic features just to send email newsletters once every couple of weeks, then all the services listed here will achieve that, so go with the cheapest or the one that has the coolest name (that’s what I do sometimes).

Conclusion: Best Mailchimp Alternatives

So there you have it, 27 best Mailchimp alternatives, with plenty of free and paid options and tons of features for every budget and business type.

Which one will you choose and why? Have you also switched from Mailchimp? Let me know down in the comments.

Stay hustlin’
